Smallest flash for a 10D?

The smallest is actually made by Canon - it is the Canon 220 EX.

Below is a list off all flashes I know about that will work with the
E-TTL system used in Canon's digital cameras (including the 10D):

Models are sorted by maximum guide number (in meters, for ISO 100).

Alternatively, for variable power output, you may buy a non E-TTL
«auto» flashgun (like the Vivitar 283, GN 37). This will work fine
on all Canon's digicams. You set up the camera in aperture priority
mode, set the aperture you use on the flash, and let the flashgun
control the exposure.

The Sunpak PZ40X AF TTL is the physically smallest flash I've found that is
compatible with the Canon digitals, or so I am told by the local store, the
guy I was talking to got one for his mom and her 10D. The thing is tiny,
2.5"x3.6"x3.5" and 7.2 ounces, has a pretty powerful flash for its size, GN
of 133 at 80mm, 5 power settings, bounce but not tilt, power zoom head that
goes from 24mm-80mm. The biggest drawback is its 10 second recycle time
with fresh alkalines, 8 secs with NiMH.

Having rarely shot film I though he was asking about CF cards. Phew.
