Hi I am a Graphic Designer, alot of my work deals with full blown video creation and editing (using Adobe CS6 Master) I am currently using for my graphics card an ECS Geforce 9500GT 1Gb how ever I believe that this is the weakest link in my system and is preventing full performance now here are PC Specks

MotherBoard: ASUS M5A99X Evo

Processor: AMD FX 6100 Black Edition 6-Core 3.3GHz

16GB DDR3 RAM

2.5 TB HD 4 partitions

and The case is a Pixxo 9203 series

Running Windows 8 RP

again like I said I think that the Graphics card is the weakest link here also is my Graphics card enough for Darksiders 2????? thanks all

Regardless of whether or not it will be able to be enough for Darksiders 2, ( which it isn't - the oldest GPU the game recommends is an 8800GT, or a 9800GT which is many steps above your 9500GT) you need to upgrade that GPU anyways.

It's almost a crime (lol) to have that computed build with such a weak GPU, especially since you're a graphic designer. Your GPU is without a doubt the weakest link in your computer and I HIGHLY recommend you upgrade ASAP.

Honestly what I am looking for is a card that that will provide the support for mid-to-high end gaming but at the same time will be a work horse I'm looking to spend no more than $350 However I am a bit nervous about switching to ATI which I know is AMD I do want to spend more than $100 only because at that price I feel like I would need to upgrade again in about a year or so...any suggestions, thanks by the way

No, I know, I bought that to upgrade from a 8300GS, I needed the HDMI port on the 9500GT cuz Im using a 36" LG LCD TV as my monitor, but I live in mexico and they jack the prices up alot on computer hardware making it difficult to make good purchases without breaking the bank and shipping cost from the states to here are even worse,

First of all Cs6 video editing does NOT require a high end card unless you are using SpeedGrade or doing Real-time Video editing and then you need a certified card like an Nvidia Quadro.

As for gaming that an entirely other issue.

List of certified cards:

•GeForce GTX 285 (Windows and Mac OS)
•GeForce GTX 470 (Windows)
•GeForce GTX 570 (Windows)
•GeForce GTX 580 (Windows)
•NVIDIA® Tesla C2075 card (Windows) when paired with a Quadro card as part of an NVIDIA Maximus™ configuration
•Quadro FX 3700M (Windows)
•Quadro FX 3800 (Windows)
•Quadro FX 3800M (Windows)
•Quadro FX 4800 (Windows and Mac OS)
•Quadro FX 5800 (Windows)
•Quadro 2000 (Windows)
•Quadro 2000D (Windows)
•Quadro 2000M (Windows)
•Quadro 3000M (Windows)
•Quadro 4000 (Windows and Mac OS)
•Quadro 4000M (Windows)
•Quadro 5000 (Windows)
•Quadro 5000M (Windows)
•Quadro 5010M (Windows)
•Quadro 6000 (Windows)
•Quadro CX (Windows)
•Tesla C2075** (Windows)

Ok so no Certifieds, thank you by the way for that... Ill be honest here when it comes to hardware I am out of my element I can put the things together(computers) but understanding what will do me good for at least the next 2 or 3 years as far as adobe updates, new games such as skyrim and darksiders 2 this is where I hit a wall, so if I understand correctly a simple mid end consumer card will give me all I need? No need for a workstation graphics card? I think Ill give a shot on the AMD 6770 and see how that works for me thank you all for your help

well there is no need to get rude the reason I started this was to ask what would be best to upgrade to for both work and gaming if you have any suggestions why not put them done instead of making snide remarks be constructive not destructive thank you
