More about need please
  1. With no problem. However you might experience "bottlenecking" from the CPU.

Bottlenecking is when one component doesn't allow the other to run at its' full potential. Like a too slow CPU (as in your case), won't allow the GPU to run at 100%. It could also be the other way around.

Still upgrading the GPU would serve as a great increase of performance in your games. :)
  2. Thanks for your reply :)

How about 7770 ramd? It should be better than my current 640 gtx
  3. Yes your mobo and cpu are fine for a 7850 you just need to overclock your cpu a little bit not a big deal imo.
  4. Thanks bigcyco1.

I have no idea how to overlock a cpu, but I am sure the repair shop next to my area will know and hopefully do it for me.

And again thanks both of you for helping a newbie.
  5. No problem bud anytime your welcome enjoy!
  6. should i over clock to 4.2 ghz for it to match the 7850? or less or more? and do i need a new cpu cooler as well or the stock is fine?

    sorry for the long questions.
  7. Yes 4.2GHZ would be fine and yes you need a aftermarket cpu cooler one of these should do the trick. CPU Cooler:COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+

  8. Alright cheers mate.

Although newegg is based in america, I would prefer a uk dealer :)

One last thing. I have a spare 7770 amd that my friend don't need anymore, can I put that card with out over clocking?

    Thanks.
  9. Yes you can use a 7770 without overclocking if you want to and if you change your mind here mate.
