how are you!

should i upgrade TOSHIBA Satellite L850-13R Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM cpu memory/ram from 4 to 8GB, if i am not to play games but to do big size (2-10MB) images work in photoshop and use video editing programmes, too?

so you know, the graphics/ video card is AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M 1gb.

thank you.

Ram is so cheap now, there is no reason not to upgrade to 8gb. You should have 64bit windows on there. I have never seen an i7 equipped laptop with anything but 64bit. I have only seen 32bit in low end cpu equipped models.

THANK YOU so much for your attention! May it come back to you! One more question, if I already have 4GB installed, shoould I have installed another 4GB OR I COULD HAVE INSTALLED 8GB, so I have 12GB altogether? Will my laptop make use of ALL of those additional 8GB?

Either of them will benefit, I would go with 4GB along with a 8GB module rather than two 4GB modules. By the way, it is not mandatory to install same size memory so it is okay IMO. The system recognizing the extra memory depends on the OS you have. If you have a 32Bit Operating system, system simply not recognize anything beyond 3.5GB. You need to have a 64Bit Operating system. Good luck!!
