Alienware m11x r2 socket 989 rpga processor upgrades? Tags: CPUs Alienware Intel i7 Processors Socket ynori March 5, 2013 1:37:36 PM Hello all, I am planning to upgrade my alienware m11x r2's cpu. currently running a stock i7 640um. according for cpu-z, the mainboard has a socket 989 rpga (which I believe is not the soldered bga 1288) and can have the cpu replaced. I am thinking about an i7 660LM, taking into account of the chipset support and also the processor's TDP. can anyone confirm that this upgrade is indeed possible before I spend like another 200 or 300 bucks? thanks in advance ^^ Don't...
