Still making little changes to my new pc build, while reading some articles on some graphics cards I came across a post saying that a GTX 550 TI in sli can run bf3 ultra at 1920x1080. I rushed here since I really only trust the reviews on this site to make this post is this true? Now if it is it fits right at my price range at 870$ for my final build. Also I want to say that when I'm done making this build be sure for me to be so active on the forums that you guys helped me. The least I can do is help others.

if you are doing a build from scratch and do not already own a 550ti I would not purchase two of them and SLI them...I would purchase one more powerful card...SLI adds heat and more power consumption to your system not to mention if you want to keep cost down you have to buy a more expensive sli capable board....also sli has its issues you would be better off with one card instead of two...what is your budget for graphics card(s)? also what psu are you putting in this rig....as far as your question goes 550ti is about the same as a gtx 570 in terms of performance...a 570 could def play bf3 at 1080p on ultra

im gett
ing one from cyperpower, and i know i can get a better pc if i custom make it just choosing this way to do it. but i have a 200-250 maybe 300. ( link http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1EEG9N ) at first i was going for the amd 7770 just for gta but the i wanted to play bf3 high or ultra. so that card flew out the window.

so you are buying the pc from cyberpower is there anyway you could buy the pc without the video card? that way you could buy the video card and install it yourself...it would be really simple to do...if not your best bet would be to purchase the pc from cyberpower with either a 7870 or a 7950.....the 7950 would be a better card but it might exceed your budget if you buy it from them....a 7870 would outperform 2 550ti's by a decent margin and it would comsume much less power and produce less heat....a 7950 would do even better...here is a link to a 7950 if you can buy it yourself.

there is no such thing as a gtx 570 ti....but there is a gtx 570...as I said in an earlier post two 550ti's in sli equal about a gtx 570 in performance....so that would be a better option than two 550ti's but it would not be your best bet...your best bet would be either a 7870 or a 7950
