I found tread with same problem, but it's closed and it doesn't resolve my problem(there was no discussion about powercolor and there was other prices).

I have such variants:
Powercolor AX7750 1GBD5-DH 95$
Gigabyte GV-R775OC-1GI 106$
Asus HD7750-1GD5 108$
XFX FX-775A-ZNF4 108$
Sapphire 11202-05-20G 110$

It's prices from my local shop, I can't go for newegg e t.c., I am living in other country, so I'm locked to this prices and variants.
No OC planned atm, maybe a bit. Powercolors CU isn't very good but it's much cheaper...

Main question: Is it worth to overpay 11-15$ for another brand or better to go with powercolor?

P.S. Sorry for my english

Old :
My old graphics card died, and I need something new

I have :
PSU Delux 400w +12v1 12A, +12v2 10A (only 1 hdd conected to psu, no dvd roms e t.c. , also this noname psu is somehow working more then 4 years in my pc :) )
Motherboard M2N-MX SE Plus (Pci-e 1)
2+1GB DDR2 RAM (I can upgrade to 4GB )
Amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ (2.21GHz)
Monitor 23" 1920X1080

I don't want to pay 500$+ to upgrade my pc now , so I want to buy some videocard, so that I can live with it for something like 1-1.5 years and then upgrade whole pc.
I hope to play games like firefall and other top games on 1080p res ( I am realist , I'm not hoping to play on ultra settings, I was playing Deus ex HR,skyrim e t.c. with 8500gt 256mb ddr3 and still alive :) )

So ,the main question is , what video card I can buy to maximize game perfomance with current set up?
I was looking for something like 6750-6770, but i'm not really sure how it will work with this psu and cpu ..
If any other information I need to provide, just write.

P.S. sorry for my english, I'm not native speaker.

7750 1gb gddr5 is 110$
6770 1gb gddr5 is 95$
6750 1gb gddr5 is 90$
6750 1gb gddr3 is 80$
6670 1gb gddr3 is 70$
*approximate prices from local online shops

7750 is eating 2 times less energy but it's 15$ more and 6770 perfomance is ~20% better AFAIK

"sometimes they don't work with a pci-e 1.0 slot"
You mean that perfomance lowers or they don't work at all?

Also, do you think my psu and cpu will be enough for 6770?

They just don't work, sometimes that can be solved with a bios update but not always.

ANYWAY, i just found out that also the 3.0 cards can have those compatibility problems . . . :fou: So shoot me. It's like a lottery then.

The 7750 would be best with the psu, i don't think it will handle a 6770. ( it could work but i'm not advising that, to big a risk of a melt down )

If you're going to take the gamble with the 7750 ask at the retailer if it's possible to send it back if it doesn't work.

Nvidia has nothing worth while in the same category what would run on the psu.

Ok, looks like I am forced to buy 7750 :)
What I didn't find:
7750 2nd revision ( longer version) for affordable price .
Comparison of 7750 from different companies, link please if you saw it somewhere.
What I found:
Powercolor AX7750 1GBD5-DH 95$
HIS H775F1GD 103$
Gigabyte GV-R775OC-1GI 106$
Asus HD7750-1GD5 108$
XFX FX-775A-ZNF4 108$

I'm not planning to OC it atm(maybe a bit)
powercolor price is nice but CU doesn't look promising
Suggestions?

I wouldn't use powercolor personally.

Asus XFX and His are ok.

This xfx is a black edition, meaning it's already oc'd and has maybe a bit better build quality. ( and even $4 less ) ; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150611.

His for $95 ; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161403

Asus $100 ; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121633

Cheapest one ( also a good brand ) ; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127665

I'm locked to prices of local market, With shipping from newegg it will be ~150$ + no warranty :)

Asked about HIS, mistake on site, not in stock :(
XFX is not OC version, OC version is 120$...
Also I found Sapphire- 110$

Is powercolor so bad that it's worth to pay additional 10-15$?
Is it better to stay in this topic or create new in radeon section?

Yeah, saw to late it was a refurbished :p

Sapphire is ok.

I don't like the way powercolor cards look ; cheap and crappy. But there are people who are perfectly happy with them.

I like the msi much better than the powercolor and it's the same price.

My Powercolor 7750 has been going strong for 6 months. No problems to speak of.

I would of gotten the XFX one though if it was released at the time I bought my Powercolor.

It doesn't work in Third World countries like Ukraine :)

They also no longer give a lifetime warranty with any of their cards, maybe that's something to do with ATi/AMD GPU's being used instead of Nvidia ones?
