Need advice on HD 7950

I ordered a 7950 card today and I was wondering if my CPU will be good enough to not bottleneck the card. I am a little worried since the chip is over 3 and a half years old even though it was pretty high end at the time.

CPU: i7 920 @ 3.5 GHz
Mobo: EVGA X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: OCZ 6GB DDR3 1600
Power supply: 750w

you will be fine...a first gen i7 at 3.5ghz is plenty...what resolution will you be playing on and what games will you be playing...if you play at a super low res then your cpu will bottleneck your card but that is only natural

Oops I meant to include that. 1920x1200 is the resolution I use now and I am thinking about getting a 2560 x 1440 monitor in the near future.

for both of those resolutions you will def not have a cpu bottleneck you will be fine.
