Revealed For the First Time - The Vampire: The Requiem Logo
The above image links to www.worldofdarkness.com
As we move closer and closer to the launch of the new World Of
Darkness
www.worldofdarkness.com will become your source for all previews
and pre-release information. At first information will be a trickle
but eventually it will contain previews,
excerpts and lots of other goodies. Over the coming months, we will
begin the process
of winding down the current White Wolf website. Even now we are
working feverishly
behind the scenes to create an all new white-wolf.com built from the
ground up.
When Vampire: The Requiem launches, so will the all-new site.
Feel free to visit our old forums and make suggestions about what you
would like to see.
We will still continue to release information on this site for
Exalted, Sword & Sorcery materials and
our other products, but changes will be kept to a minimum while we
create the new site.
Remember - you only have a few days left to purchase old World of
Darkness
books before they are removed from our site forever.
Thanks for all your support over the years, we hope you will enjoy
what's to come!

Not a week online, but we see the second logo for WOD2.
Why did you change from the IMHO more stylish blue version to the new
yellow one?

The yellow one, oddly, is pretty much just the blue one with the colors
inverted and the background changed back to black.

I hope they go back to the blue one. It was neat.

I like the blue and silver one better too. I am honestly not sure why
the change, but I suppose some other folks liked the yellow and gold
one better.

Close, but not true. But quite probably the same filter (something like
Photoshop's Bevel and Emboss Layer Style?) with modified settings...

Daniel, graphics nerd, and thus proclaiming the right of pedantry in
this case ;-)

Thus, "The yellow one, oddly, is pretty much just the blue one with the
colors inverted," rather than "The yellow one, oddly, is just the blue
one with the colors inverted."

My pedantry beats yours.

My theory (uninformed by any kind of insider knowledge) is that we'll see
several different coloured versions of the logo, with the variants keyed to
different book lines. Maybe the blue version is for Vampire books, the
bronze one for Werewolf; maybe we'll see a purple or red or whatever version
for Mage.

Why do that? Maybe because it's fun; maybe because different logos reinforce
different branding; maybe to make the WoD logo mesh best with the cover
colours and trade dress of a game line.

That'd be neat. White Wolf should listen to you.

It was too cold, too "chrome" for me, too technology oriented.

More exactly :the new one is better for the old Wod, the only
one we know for now. Maybe the blue one will be in fact better for
Wod2.

Guillaume
The current iconography is really far from the "gothic rose" of WOD1,
in blue or yellow.
