Okay, I want to get the XFX Radeon HD 7770 graphics card (full info below) with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, but I need to know if It can support 3 monitors hooked up simultaneously. I don't want to use any of that Eyefinity stuff, just have 3 displays. One monitor has DVI, one has HDMI or DVI, and one is VGA (I will get a converter), so will they work? Also, with the 3rd monitor, will a VGA to Displayport/DVI/HDMI work for using 3 displays, or do I have to have one of those annoying active converter things for it. Thank you ahead of time!

(XFX FX-777A-ZDFV AMD Radeon Double D HD 7770 Video Card - 1GB, DDR5, PCI Express 3.0, DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort, CrossFire, DirectX 11)

At one point the third monitor required the use of a display port out. Not sure if this is still true on the 7xxx series, but this will give you somewhere else to research as I make no claims on being an expert. Since none of your monitors has display port, you can get an ACTIVE (passive won't work) display port to VGA converter, http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042801&p_id=5135&seq=1&format=2 but beware, my HD 5770 doesn't always agree to play nice with it and things kick back to 640x480 mode. The better bet in my opinion is to get a new monitor that support display port. A monitor at the cheap end would only be $105 more than the adapter after shipping and promo code...

Having used a three monitor setup I'd hold out for a swivel 1920x1080, but that of course would cost more.
