Video card upgrading

hi i have a kind of old computer with intel x4500 graphics i need to upgrade them. the only problem is that i am restrickted to a low profile card because of my case so i cant get a full sized card. i have narrowed down my search to these cards.

1 : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150614
2 : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150615
3 : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127571

now the display i have is a 20 inch dell lcd monitor running at 1600x1200.
i might overclock them a little and i want to play LOL and battlefield play4free so i want fps over 40 doesn't matter the detail level. btw i know that my pcie slot is only 1.0 but can anyone tell me about how much % the cards will run slower. and i also have 2x2gigs or ddr3 ram 1066 ram running at 1333
any help or advice will be good

  1. you should get a 6670 or a 7750 instead of the options above
  2. One of these would be far better that what you posted. It's three tiers above any of those on Tom's Hardware Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

As far as I can tell, the Radeon HD 6670 is about the best you can get in a low profile GPU.
  3. but the problem that i have is that i can only have low profile cards and those would probably be big
  4. thank you for the reply but i read somewhere that pcie2.1 will not work with pcie1.0 thats the prob but the also said that pcie 3.0 will work fine so i foing this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161418 but does anyone know how much % of the preformance i will loose
  5. Then there's only the compatibility issue.

Btw, you have some psu specs maybe ?

No, 3.0 has the same compatibility problems. ( also thought it was only 2.1, but no . . . :pfff: )
  7. it will work fine. my friend plugged a 6870 into his 775 box and it worked fine. the 7750 isnt even very powerful so it wont saturate the bus

If money is not an issue get 7750. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150612

If you have tight budget get 6670. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=602622&CatId=7005

All the cards you want to get are way too slow in comparison to above two.

OP is looking for Low profile cards and neither of those is Low Profile.
  9. ok so im going to choose this card: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202002 but do you think i will be able to play the games i mentioned above at medium setting at that resolution
  10. yes it will
  11. and what would the speed difference be like how much gts is the difference betweenpcie 1.0 and 3.0. btw thanks again

you in theory get 4x more bandwidth with pci-e 3 than pci-e 1 but its not that relevant in your case since the 7750 is very weak and it wouldnt saturate the bus

performance wise, maybe like 3 fps?
