Process of building

I was wondering if I could throw my parts together, connect it to my monitor and install the drivers, THEN throw it in my case when it gets here saturday. Or should I wait to throw my parts together intill my case gets here? Thanks.

You could build it without the case. I don't know why you would. It seems like added risk for no reason.

No, I'm going to the components in the case. I was curious if three 120mm would be sufficent.

Well yes that will be great I'm sure but tell me more about the build and the airflow. But, you didn't ask that in the original question.

Its actually recommended by some intheusiests to build your computer outside of the case to check for faulty parts and/or compatibility options.
On the other hand I wouldn't recommend building it out of the case to run the computer. With no protection around it anything can go wrong and the cooling will be pretty bad with no fans. The static electricity is also a concern. I would just wait untill you receive your case.
