Still on the fence between AMD and intel

Hello

I have almost made up my mind for buying the AMD 8350 or the intel i5 3570K.

Will do gaming and 2D and 3D design and rendering.

There is only about a 30 dollar price difference between the two.
The 8 cores are tempting.

So I can really get a nice fast AMD machine for less than a intel machine?

After buying a good motherboard for the 8350, will it still be cheaper than buying a i5 3570K and motherboard?

If you want my opinion, I'd say go with the FX-8350, because it can do very well in rendering/encoding etc.

That and you'll save money with the amd at least a little

If you are using programs that you know are threaded, then the AMD is better.
AMD also has a better memory controller too.
