Intermittent Computer Freezes When Gaming

I've recently come across many FULL computer freezes (happens every day or 2) since I've built my new PC (peripherals lock up, sound jitters, completely locked out). Thus far I've tried to upgrading from the stock BIOS to most recent firmware with a brand new reformat, but still I am having issues.

General Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-D3H
CPU: i5-3570k 4.5Ghz @ 1.275V
GPU: GTX 570 [Memory 2000Mhz, Geometry 850Mhz]
HD: WD Sata3 1TB 7200RPM
Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600 (KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX)
PSU: BFG Tech 650W
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

I've tried to do as much as I can to find out what exactly 'driver scanner' software will show me, a lot of suggested installs are simply older versions (something is misreading). I've exhausted the possibility of a memory problem by running windows memory diagnostic multiple times.

Please let me know if you require further information which will help probe the given issue, I've ran out of ideas.

Thank you.

EDIT: I've just noticed by perusing my BIOS settings that the new firmware F18 has improperly set my RAM to non-specified memory specs. When I attempt to change it to the required specs the computer will encounter a boot failure when running the recommended 1600 9-9-9 @ 1.65V (using the implemented XMP Extreme memory Profile). I am now testing the stability of the alternative 1333 9-9-9 @ 1.5V.

EDIT EDIT: Upon googling again apparently this is VERY common with this board trying now settings BCLK to 100.1Mhz as a known fix (C3/C6, ErP disabled)

Buyer beware, this was a very stubborn board to overclock. Nudging the voltage to get a stable clock was hell... would freeze up almost every other time on the BIOS (had to reset CMOS multiple times).
