Occasional performance drop

Good day all. I am new to the forum and have an issue I hoped someone could help with.

While I am gaming (Diablo 3 and Dota2) I occasionally (every 2-10 mins) get a short (5-15 second) drop in FPS. Usually Im running at or just under 60 FPS, but it drops to around 15-20. Neither my Processor nor my video cards ever dip above 70 degrees, so I dont believe it is an overheating issue. I have attempted to install to both a SATA drive and a SSD, with the same issue

i7 2600k
2x Radeon 5870 HD cards
16 gb 1600mhz ram
SSD Boot disc
SSD Game HDD
2 Monitors
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO mobo
800w PSU

Well I don't think that would exactly have a problem running 2 5870's. In assuming you have the latest drivers and all as well.

Is the performance drop at like load times? Like when there are alot of units?

No, just any random time.

Its also accompanied by a weird line across the screen that's like what I see sometimes when v sync is off. You know, a weird blur line? Sorry Im not the best at describing my issue.

Its alright. It just seems like an odd issue. Maybe try it out with one card.
