Monitoring graphics card RAM usage

Hello,
I am planning to upgrade my system, and want to get a sense of my current graphics card memory usage. I currently have a Radeon X1300PRO. I've tried using GPU-Z to find out the graphics card memory usage, but there are only a couple of entries listed in the sensor tab of GPU-Z, and neither is memory usage. Any thoughts on what is wrong?

its probably bc that information is not made available by the drivers.....which means you are SOL...you could try other monitoring programs like msi afterburner or rivatuner or evga precision and see if those work
