I am looking for a replacement for the power supply in an dell optiplex GX520 small form factor (I think). The power supply has the following model number written on it: H220P-01

Is this power supply a standard type (ATX, BTX, etc...) or do I have to buy an exact replacement from dell?

You need to purchase an exact replacement, you can find used and refurbished ones using the google shopping tool:

Thanks for the quick reply.

Most of the ones available are used or seller refurbished. Is it ok to buy seller refurbished? Do these usually work? I don't think they have any warranty.

For the money you would spend buying a new one, I would look at using that money toward a new computer. Dell can be a bit unforgiving, price wise, on replacement proprietary hardware.

You're probably right. I should probably tell my friend (computer owner) to buy a new computer. The replacement power supplies are really expensive and the computer is getting really old.
