3570k temperature concerns

I'm using a 3570k on a H60 at 4.4Ghz. I've noticed that if I open prime temperatures jump from 30-40C to its load temperature of about 80C two or so seconds. Then once I stop prime, temperatures nosedive back down to about 50C as soon as I close it.

It doesn't seem to be throttling at all because the clock speed reads a constant of 4400Mhz throughout, it just seems odd to me that the temperatures dive around so quickly, is it meant to be like that? Cant say I've noticed it before.

Forget Prime 95 for now what are your temps at idle and normal load (when playing games) .
