GeForce 8400GS to Radeon 7750

Hello,
I am considering upgrading my 8400gs to a Radeon 7750 video card. However, I do not know whether any compatibility issues will appear, such as the physical size of the card, the power usage (although I read somewhere that the 7750 uses very little power), and other such details.
Will there be any, though? Are the two cards compatible, or is there something else I have to do?

  1. You'll be taking the older card out of the system entirely, so the question would be whether there are any compatibility issues between the HD 7750 and the non-graphics card components of the system.

    To answer that question, we'd need to know what else is in your system, CPU, PSU, motherboard, etc. In general, as long as your card will physically fit in your case, and your PSU can supply it enough power, the upgrade will 'work'. There's a stickied thread at the top of the forum that details how to ask for graphics card help.
  2. compatability willl depend on the rest of computer build. if the psu is above ~300w(even on some crap units) then the 7750 can probably be pulled off. if its 250, its on the teeter tottering level.
  3. I don't know the psu, since I have never opened my pc case.
