Hello fellow TH readers :hello: ,

I was at Anandtech checking out a review on a Rosewill Line-M case ( http://www.anandtech.com/show/6798/rosewill-line-m-case-review-wherefore-art-thou-microatx/2 ) and its almost perfect for what i want but after further review i decided i would like it better if it used an inverted MB tray like so ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/40/caseiwant.png/ ). So i figured i would ask yall for some ideas you make have or do i have to mod this case myself. ( I know the case would have to open from the right instead of left :kaola: )

Thanks in advance!

There really aren't all that many cases on the market with the inverted MB tray you desire, especially near the price point of the Rosewill. Other than aesthetics, why do you want such a layout? Also, what is your budget for your case purchase? And, what will you be stuffing into said case?

Yeah, I kinda figured there wouldn't be any in that price range but was curious as to what was out there. What really got me excited about this case what the 5 slot mATX (dual slot xfire/SLI availability) design and its simplicity. The reason behind the design is that by doing this layout it creates "zones" of air currents, intake fan ->CPU Fan -> exhaust fan. Then, as is with any new graphics card, its length itself would block off lower air current and create its own zone, which would be fed by side intake fan. The exhaust would then be handled by the graphics card (sucks air in then blows it out of case) and the PSU (again blowing it out of case).

Parts (preliminary, nothing set in stone)
MB - MSI Z77MA-G45 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130647
CPU - Intel Core i5-3570K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504
Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
RAM - 8GB 2x4GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220707
VC - HIS IceQ H787Q2G2M Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404

Was thinking for a long time going with ITX but i feel in the long run, mATX is more feasible and upgradeable (mainly pertaining to adding a other peripherals)

That being said, and I don't want to be rude AT ALL, believe me I'm open to any and all ideas but Im mostly just looking for advice on a case. I would rather this not turn into some kind of parts flame war. (as it so often happens in the forums).

Again, thanks for any advice y'all can provide ~

Sweet case. Verify that it will accommodate your GPU length (it appears that is will when looking at some of the GPUs referred to in the feedback section). Twice the price of the Rosewill, BTW, but I do like it a lot. Nice find!

Saw this on one of the feedback comments (you should be good with your desired parts list):

"Other Thoughts: I've been eyeing this case for awhile. I decided to go from a huge CM ATCS 840 to this because I wanted small, powerful, and quiet. I also have a AMD 7950, Noctua D14, and a 3.5" HDD. If you have a Heatsink like the D14, you will not be able to use the removable HDD cage for 3.5" drives. 2.5" drives will work however. The 3.5" drive barely (I'm talking 1 cm) fits in the bottom slot without touching the cooler. Same for the GPU. It misses contact with the cooler by .5". Luckily, this case has a nice resting pads for both the CPU and GPU so you can ensure that they stay in place. Do not get a PS that is over 6.4" in length unless you have masochistic tendencies, or decide to not install 5.25" drives. The HDD cage can interfere a little with some USB headers (Asus Maximus Gene V's USB 3.0 header is super tight but does work). Be careful not to put to much stress on cable leads."

Personally, I am not a fan of those sorts of adapters because they can just complicate troubleshooting, if required. Still the cost is reasonable if it doesn't pan out.

Do you plan to Crossfire with this rig? If so, it is going to be very tight.

Yeah, setting up for x-fire does scare me off a little but i really like the size and its the layout i was/am looking for. Sucks man, I really dont like to compromise on computer builds as i tend for them to last me a couple years. Though i can totally see the second video card grilling some steaks on me if i setup x-fire using this case :(

@jpoos - seems like the case you chose would be better if i was to do liquid cooling for sure. Though at this point i think I'm gonna stick to TJ08B-E as i feel it will suit my needs. Thanks for all the help guys, really appreciate it and yes COLGeek, you are correct, though your recommendation is pretty awesome, I'm looking to build a SFF system. Sorry i forgot to mention that earlier.
