I'm trying to build a fast gaming pc and I am having some trouble finding a cooler for my CPU because I've heard people saying how hot the 3970x gets and it got me worried so I need some advise from the community.

I'm looking for a cooler that does not hit my ram and I would like to avoid water cooling but if it is my only potion I will give it a shot, also I don't need to overclock although that would be a good feature I don't need it.
Specs:
case- 1x HAF-X 942
Mother board- 1x Asus Rampage IV Extreme Intel Mainboard
CPU- 1x Intel core i7 3970X
Ram- 2x G.SKILL DDR3 32GB (4x8GB) PC-19200/2400 Trident X F3-2400C10Q-32GTX
Graphics Card- 1x powercolor radeon 7990 6aGB
Sound Card- 1x Asus Xonar Essence ST
PSU- 1x Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold M1200 1200w
HDD- 1x Western Digital Caviar Black 4TB
SSD- 1x Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB
Optical Drive- 1x Lite-On 12x BluRay Combo
P.S. I not fazed by the price
