Suggest A CPU I5

My Mobo is ASRock Z77 Pro4 (For future upgrade to I7 kseries). Please tell me which of the following should I buy:

1> i5-2310 ( Selected as SB should run cooler and thus low fan noise)
2> i5-3470 ( Selected as IB is newer than SB)

Also give insight if these CPU will be incompatible with that MOBO.

(Please Note: 1> Rig will not have discreet GPU. 2> Rig will be playing bluray movies @1080P on HDMI (low fan noise is important)

Please help guys.

^This. The 3470 is a 77w cpu and that SB chip is a 95w one.

Yes thats correct IB only runs hotter if you increase the voltage.

I just thought if you are only using it to watch movies just get an i3 it runs even cooler.

Actually I have selected I3-2100T at first. But as apart from prime function of 1080P the system will simultaneously run media-monkey as media-server(no real time convertion as of now),Bit-torrent+Jdownloader,Avast anti-virus free,Latest Firefox + adobe and flash plugins. So I discarded that 2100T and thinking of I5.
