Semprons are single core processors. WOW actually does depend a bit on the processor so you shouldn't skimp too much there. The only Athlon X2 that has a prayer of giving you anything in WOW now is a 6000+ (you can pick one up for $45 @Amazon).

I recommend you get a new MB/CPU and GPU . Wow actually takes some resources to play at decent frame rates these days.

Huh? I used to play wow on and Athlon 3700+ (Single San Diego Core) and an ATI X1950Pro and 2 gb ram. As I recall I ran at maxed settings. I haven't played in a few years however. But I did play ton my Athlon X2 5600+ and AMD HD 4870 without a hitch and ran at max settings about a year ago and it seemed to run just fine.

Sorry if I appear to be scoffing, but wow is not the most demanding game these days. But YMMV.

The old WoW is not the new WoW.
