I am using Windows Live Mail as my mail program on Windows 8. Can anyone

tell me where the EML files are stored?

cd c:\
dir /s *.eml

I have ones in my documents and in \appdata\local\packages\Microsoft .....

Your second answer was close. I found the files at appdata\local\Microsoft\windowslivemail\local folders...
