Hey guys,

I am currently look for a new power supply, the power supply needs X2 PCI-E and about 600-700W to power my new XFX Radeon 7870 2GB, I am looking to spend about £50-£60 but lower would be great.
Any help would be fantastic guys :)
Looking forward to the replys,
Scott

with 700w you could run two AMD 7870, are you planning to crossfire in the future?

Possibly yes I want the extra power because if I decide I want to crossfire two 7870's I have the power necessary to do so.
But I going to be running one 7870 for a while so what Watts would you recommend?

550w+ for a single card, 700w for CF

plenty of quality units from silverstone, enermax, corsair, seasonic, antec, pc power and cooling, ocz, and xfx

Hi - one way to keep the cost lower is to get a PSU sufficient
for a sys with a 7870. That sys needs only a quality 500w PSU,
and that has some headroom built in, 600 - 700w
altho not harmful (except to your wallet) is an unnecessary expense.

I'll recommend a couple that will be fine for your system

Any of these will work fine with your sys.

Thanks for the quick replys guys,

Here is my build

Case: Zalman Z9 Mid Tower
Motherbored: Asrock 970 Pro 3
CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.60GHz Quad-Core
GPU: XFX AMD Radeon 7870 Core Edition 2GB
HDD: 1TB Samsung Drive
7 System Fans 120mm Front, X2 120mm Top, 120mm Bottum, 120mm Rear and X2 120MM Side with an Aerocool V12 Fan Contoller

Thinking of getting the XFX 550W Power Supply http://www.dabs.com/products/xfx-550w-core-edition-80--...
