Hi,

I have a friend of mine who does HD video editing in Sony Vegas Pro 10 and he wants to upgrade his GPU. He currently has a HD 4200 and he wants to spend about 100$ for his new GPU.

He has an HP Pavilion p6633w

I read and saw that video card up until to 9" could fit in there. I was thinking about a GTX 550 ti, 89.99$ after rebate at NCIX US. Also since he only has a 250w power supply I'm suggesting him a Corsair CX500 80+ (44.98$). Do you guys have better suggestions? Or see something incompatible?

Thank you

those seem like good suggestions thats a pretty hard price to beat for the 550ti...compatibility wise you are solid as long as the graphics card physically fits in the case

That's a pretty good suggestion at that price. Even if the 550Ti isnt the best card for the price, at THAT price its damn hard to beat.

Well I'm just commenting on all the ones that come up really that have a low amount of posts, and it turns out that they are ones you have commented on.

Don't worry, as far as you're concerned, I'm not stalking you lol.

You do not need high end video cards to do video editing, entry level video cards will do the job. :)
