Radeon HD 7850 Crossfire or a single 7970?

For about the same price of a single 7970 I could get two 7850s and they will get me more FPS in games than a single 7970. However I was wondering if it'd be worth it to get the two over the 7970. I was originally gonna get a single 7850, but I decided to more stuff around to put more money on my gpu. I feel that while the 7850s would give me pretty fps, the 7970 could be coupled with another later down the line and offer better performance than the 7850s anyway.

I would always go for 1 higher end video card over 2 lower end ones. In the long run the 7970 would be better, by time games will be too much for one 7970, you would be able to buy a second one dirt cheap. That's my opinion.

Hm, yeah that's pretty much what I was kind of thinking. If it'd even be worth it down the line. Thank you sir.

or(not a fanboy)but for that money it's actually a decision over the 7970 or the 670/680

Eh, they pretty much preform the same. The 7970 outperforms in one game, the 680 or 670 outperforms in another. I just wanted to try out AMD for once.
