UPGRADING MY GRAPHICS CARD. NEED HELP DECIDING!!!

I want to upgrade my graphics card on my desktop from an OEM NVIDIA GT 520 1GB GDDR3 to an XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5.

My other specs:
- Intel Core i5-2320 @ 3GHz
- 6GB 1333MHz RAM
- 1TB 5400RPM HDD + 500GB external USB HDD
- 300W PSU (which I know I'll have to replace if I get a new graphics card)


Will I notice a significant improvement in performance when gaming if I swap out my GT 520 for an HD 6870? How much of an improvement will it be? Can you guys give specific FPS improvements if possible? Is the performance improvement worth spending $165 (Canadian dollars) for an XFX Radeon HD 6870 and another $60-$70 for a new power supply?

it will be a massive improvement.. for eg if in crysis 2 if you get 10 fps at a particular setting than expect atleast 60fps at those same settings from an HD6870

four to five times faster i guess.
GT 520 is a low-end card
HD 6870 is mid-high end card.

You will see a massive improvement over your GT520. The GT520 is a pretty lame card. You would have to get a GOOD 500W unit, like this one:
