As I re-read my previous question I realized I did not state my problem correctly. The key board is in my Toshiba laptop. To remove the key board from the laptop’s base it is necessary to disconnect a series of wires which are plugged into the base of the laptop. The wires connected the keyboard have a male plug on the end which connects to a female socket on the laptop base. To remove or install the wires you first have to remove a small plastic clip that secures this connection so that it does not unplug/ disconnect accidently.

You may have to re-state the problem, and the question.
