SLI choppy screen in games

hi

i seem to have a problem with my sli when every i play a game its stays at a high framerate but it is really choppy and seems like a connection lag

anyone knows what im talking about and can anyone help?


SPECS:

ASRock Z77 extreme4 mobo

intel core i5 2400 @3.9 GHz

nivida GTS 240 OEM

650watt CM GX

fans HDD's and other ***

so you have two gts 240's in sli? if so can you tell me what games you are playing and at what res/settings? I have a feeling your FPS are low are you monitoring that? use a program like fraps to monitor your fps and let me know the answer to all my questions

can you put the second gpu in the first slot and then run only that card? Maybe your second card is faulty....when you put the second card in do you reinstall the drivers? If the second card works fine by itself uninstall the drivers and then install the second card and then install the latest drivers.. let me know the results

i tested it on another system so it cant be the card

ok then do the driver thing...remove the drivers and install them once you have both of the cards in there.

It looks like the words worse case of microstuttering. It's not really recommended to SLI such low end cards, the GT 240 isn't even supposed to support SLI so I'm not sure why your cards even have sli connectors or why the nvidia control panel lets you enable it.

The OP is using OEM GTS240's, which are basically 1GB 8800GT's.

I wouldnt go that far lol....but have you tried the removing the drivers and installing them when both the cards are in.... also it is possible that it is the sli bridge going weird check out this thread

it was the drivers, RELIEF my friend tested the cable on his cards and i took his no problems i re-installed the nivida drivers and it works now
