GTX 670 with Triple Monitors? Or 680?

I'm trying to set up triple DVI monitors with a GTX 670. For the third DVI port I'm using the display port with an active DVI adapter. So far, it hasn't worked.

The monitors are identical 1920x1200 24 inch but when I try to configure using the 'span' surround I get this:

Centre screen goes black
Riight screen goes half black and half blue
Left screen shows desktop.

I have tried switching the cables, extending and not extending the desktop. etc, but the end result is always the same.

Do I need a 680GTX for this? Or can a single 670GTX do the job?

Thanks.

  1. Go for the GTX670. It handles this easily. My friend has it :)
  2. Thanks, I have the 670 but it ain't doing the job. I get the screens like I said. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Using W7 x64.
  3. Right click on the desktop and select screen resolution and check your settings?
