how would someone make a copy of a hard drive? in other words, if you have and existing hard drive with programs, games, etc, how would you copy everything and put them on a new hard drive, so the new hard drive will be identical to the old one?

I don't claim to know anything about everything, I just tell people what I know.

If you buy a retail hard drive there is usually a floppy disk included in the package with programs to setup the new drive and make an image copy of the old drive. If the floppy is not included with the new drive, you can download the floppy from the manufacturer's web site.

There's actually more to xcopy then that, and if you ask me it's hell! I would much rather have a third party program then use xcopy and lose all my hair!
