Hello and thanks for any advice you can give me.
I can get the
Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz LGA 1155 Processor for $$229.99 at Micro center
or I can get the
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz for $219.99 at new egg.

My question is , is it worth the xtra $10 to get the i7, I will be OCing with a water cooler..

one other question I am just geting back into this after not having built a pc in 6-7 years.. I am hearing abouta new chipset from intel coming out.... will it be a lot better then the i5 or i7 and how long till it comes out because maybe I should hold off on this build if its not to far away? I could maybe just get some new parts that I could use in my build when the new chips come out maybe?
right now I have a

(Kentsfield)Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
ASUS P5N-D
8 gig of DDR2-1066
EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti

i7 is a way better improvement over the i5, considerink its the k version meaning that is has the unlocked multiplier, you should get some real good overclocking out of this cpu with water cooling. Make sure your motherboard has a good power phase though, 8+2 is pretty good, 4+1 should be fine aswell but just to be safe

The Mobo I was going to get is the ASRock Z77 Extreme3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
But if the new chipsets are coming out this summer I may wait for them, as that is only a few months away. I can still possibly get the new
ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
and the
OCZ Vector Series VTR1-25SAT3-256G 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC
that I was going to put in my new system and would give me a boost until this sumer when I can get the new stuff.
