Should i get a I5 ivy bridge 3570?

Mobo Biostar A770e3
CPU AMD phenom II x4 BE
GPU Gigabyte gtx 560ti

I want to upgrade my processor but will the I5 3570k offer a big performance change? I am going to need a new cpu because i want a new gpu soon. I just need some advice on a cpu. Thanks!

Will require motherboard change to lga 1155.

Yes, there is a large performance difference. But you will need to buy a socket 1155 motherboard to use the i5-3570k.

Haha! I'm on exactly the same boat as you. I was looking to get either a new motherboard and a 3570K to upgrade from my Black Edition CPU, or a 7970 GHz Edition. Unfortunately, I don't have the money for both, think I may be getting the 3570K + motherboard and then later on in the year get the 7970 GHz Editon to upgrade from my 560 Ti. I only play on 1360x768, so I guess CPU will make a bigger difference.

Yep 560Ti can play anything at 1360x768! CPU makes the most sense.
