When building a new computer should i get a better PSU or case. My maximum budget is $100-$150. Any suggestions.
Thinking of getting a
Coolermaster RC-K380-KWN1 K380
Corsair VS650 650W

Also should i get the most fans in my case. Noise is not an issue.

More about : spend case psu

Money spent on quality PSU is more important than the case.

Tough decision, depends on what your after.

Just to clarify, the PSU meeting a certain quality threshold (80+ Qualification, various safety features, Active PFC, good reviews, from a respectable manufacturer and of sufficient wattage) should be put before anything else in a build. Once your above that threshold is where it becomes iffy.

If your after long term future proofing, sink the money into the case. PSU's do degrade with usage and better standards will come out in the future, so buying an amazing PSU wont necessarily mean it will last long (3+ years). A case is a hunk of metal, it wont ever become outdated and its very likely the metals involved (aluminium for example) aren't going to become cheaper with time. Get a good case that can handle anything you could throw at it and you like the look of, and you could very likely never have to buy another case again.

Short term future proofing, go for the PSU. Getting a more powerful PSU will allow you to Crossfire/SLI if you decide too later on and generally allow your system to expand. However, dont expect to use it beyond 3-4yrs as capacitors do degrade with usage.

If your more looking at jumping from one quality tier to another (say a Corsair Builders 550W to a Seasonic G-Series 550W), sink the money in the case. Both supply's are reputable and while the Seasonic will have better quality being a more premium product and with the Seasonic name behind it, that doesn't mean that the Corsair Builders 550W wont do its job to the same standard. Both have been tested to fit 80+ Cert and both have good reviews,

That's just all my opinion, no doubt other will have their won.

Better choice but do you need 800watts? That would be enough for a high end dual GPU setup.
