I was looking at an article on the Radeon 6670. (Here's the link for reference) (http://www.hardware-revolution.com/best-video-card-may-2012/)
Now, it says that you don't need a connector from the power supply and that it get its direct power from the board. So my question is. Does that still draw power from the power supply? I'm trying to get a card that will run on my pos PSU of 250W. I'm trying to work around things so I don't have to spend money I don't have.

Itdoes still draw power but that psu is way too weak if you cant agford a good psu get a generic one :kaola:

Never get a generic one. I can tell from experience that if you buy cheap, you end up buying twice. I had a generic power supply almost ignite my curtain which would have ended up in me having a torched home. Luckily, I was fast enough to move the PC away when I saw the flames.
