My friend has the mobo and CPU listed above and the integrated graphics doesnt work
works fine with a discrete GPU and he has tried different BIOS settings
He also tried flashing to the latest BIOS and still no luck

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

check that in the bios onboard gpu is turned on.most time with an aftermarket gpu the onboard gpu gets turned off. make sure you have thenewest amd mb drivers and video gpu drivers.

Does it work when there's no discrete card inside the PC? If the answer is no, it means that either the CPU or the motherboard is faulty.

two mobos are doing this
he tested with a discrete GPU but wants to use the integrated graphics
I doubt two mobos would both have the same problem
I also doubt that a CPU would function but not the IGP on it
if the CPU is shot it just wouldnt boot

I think it might be CPU after all. If two different motherboards are doing it. I suppose you don't have another APU to test it?

not sure I will email and ask him

and after working on hundreds of towers i have never run across a faulty non-overvolted CPU

unless he bent some pins on it
