What processors are compatible acer c7 chromebook

Solution
The socket that your Celeron processor is affixed to is FCBGA1023. It is very likely that your processor is soldered directly to your motherboard and cannot be changed.

If you honestly need more CPU performance, you should probably get a different computer.

Solution
It would have to be a motherboard designed to fit into that specific Chromebook model. Therefore, it is unlikely there will be any other possible solution... unless you commission a team of engineers to specifically design and test a motherboard for you that will work with Google's Chrome OS. I'm thinking this will cost slightly more than buying a new Chromebook or laptop.

can I do this and then revert to chrome OS and keep the gains in processing? what are the risks of overclocking it? how hard is this to do it?
