Hey guys, this is my first build, and I am anxious. My parents are taking "a huge risk" letting me build my own computer. If it doesn't work out, then I won't be able to in the future, and I want to make sure there are no incompatibilities or complications. Thanks!

uuummm.. looks like it'll be fine. :)  i would recommend the intel i5 ivy bridge 3570k if it's in your budget range. u can always "upgrade" in the future though.

Guessing this is a gaming rig?

You'v made good choices on the most part, only really brand swapping and small changes.
Here's what I would do.

Change that HIS graphics card to a brand like Sapphire or Gigabyte. While HIS aren't a bad manufacturer, Sapphire and Gigabyte are better.
Sapphire HD7850 OC. $210
Gigabyte HD7850. $210 ($20 rebate)

You picked the slightly older Barracuda drive, there is a newer one on the market with 64MB of Cache.
Is also cheaper as well.

If you have the cash to do so, I advise upgrading that PSU. 430W is cutting it a bit fine if you wanted to upgrade later. Also this is made by Seasonic (XFX supplies are re-branded Seasonics), so its of great quality.
XFX 550W, 80+ Bronze. $70 ($10 rebate)

Other than that, all is good.
