GTX 560 performance

I just bought this GTX 5560 yesterday and I am underwhelmed with it's performance so far.
I play world of tanks pretty much exclusively and the graphic auto detect put me at high settings, not "very high" and it often slows to 20 fps during intense periods running native 1920x1080.
The store said it would be powerful enough for MMOs. Should I try and exchange it for I dunno a 660?

Second question when I alt tab out to browser during boring bits and then when i alt tab back to game there is a ~5 second blank screen before game displays again.
Is this normal? It never did that with my old card a 9600GT. it always displayed right away though at low setting.
Is this what I should expect from my AUS GF 256 bit 1GB 810/4008MHz GTX560?
or is there an install issue?
Thanks for reading!
Rick

i have an I5-2320 they told me the 560ti would only be 10% more performance and it's $50 more...
but what about the big 5-6 second delay alt tabbing? i turned the graphics down to minimum and it still has the same delay. As i said in OP it doesnt do that with my very old 9600GT.
It's extremely annoying as I alt+tab an awful lot.

Is a computer with the following specs gonna be able to play games like skyrim on medium-high settings on 1280x1024?

Intel Core i5-2320K 3.0GHz Quad-core
8GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
Gigabyte GTX 560 1GB

It is not for my main rig, it's just gonna be a second rig. The main rig is gonna have these specs, if you're interested.

AMD FX-6100 3,3GHz 6-core
16GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz
Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X OC W/ BOOST!

The GTX 560 isn't a real power house card, so I can't say I'm surprised by it's performance on a 1080p screen. If you've got the resources to pick up a GTX 660, I'd definitely do it. It'll do you more favors in the long run than that 560 or 560Ti ever will.

Dude, you're not getting it! This is for a secondary computer running on two 1280x1024 monitors, only playing games on 1! The 560 is coming with the computer that I'm buying, which was custom built by a dude, I'm buying it used and putting a R9 270X 2GB in there! (The new machine, the main one.) I'm turning my current machine into a secondary one. And I'm gonna be playing on a 1280x1024 monitor. No 1080p here. Why are you guys so stupid? Also, my case does support two GPU's, but I'm pretty sure my motherboard doesn't. Nevertheless, I don't have any resources to buy any other card, these cards are freebies! Gah!

I wasn't posting for you; I was posting for the actual author of the thread. Take a chill pill, "stupid." It seems, however that you've, for some unknown reason, awakened a thread from the dead. So, here's an idea, go create your own thread.
