Graphics Card Upgrade Advice

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if you could give me a little advice, I've currently got a Nvidia 460 GTX but its beginning to show its age a little and would like to upgrade to new card thats going to fit with my current configuration but not break the bank :)

The limitations are that it musn't require anything more than a 460W PSU as I don't really want to swap this out and the card can't be mahoosive, the case is a HP 595 Pavillion Elite so its not the biggest case around and I suspect some of the mega cards out there wouldn't fit.

I'm looking at spending between £150 - £200 on it and would appreciate any advice you can offer, any other information I can provide just shout,

Thanks in advance!

u have to upgrade u r power supply at least 500watt with a good brand corsair coolermaster seasonic then think about the new card because most of them requires now 500 w or greater one i suggest corsair gs 600 and get 7850 cheaper and good one

Not even close Kiiro. 7850 only has one PCIe connector, so its max is 150W. I believe its normally around 130W, same as the 6850. The GTX460 has two plugs, so its max is 225W, but uses around 170W depending on model/clocks. If he has the GTX460 now, the 7850 will run just fine.

Ah goodness, I feel quite stupid right now. Third edit.

I was reading the full system load consumption, not the card consumption. My mistake.

Pretty common, happens all the time.

7850 is a rather impressive card. GTX580 like performance and needs less power then the GTX460. Or from the same generation it has GTX580 like performance while using a bit more power then the GTX550. Nvidia still hasn't put out a card to compete with it. If the yields are bad, where are the lower end chips?
