Hi all.

I recently purchased a Corsair CX600M to go with my rebuild. Figured it was a nice upgrade from my generic Chinese 510W, and I've wanted a modular for a while.

Been happy with the CX600M, except for one factor.

I'm running 2 GTX460s in SLi. Each GTX460 needs 2 6-pin PCI-E connectors.

The CX600M only came with 2 PCI-E connectors, and only has 1 8-pin output..

So in the current configuration I have to use an ugly mess of Y-cables and the likes. The very scenario I was trying to get away from by going modular!

So the way I figure it I need one of two things.

1) An 8-pin Y-cable.

2) A 6-pin-to-2-6-pin-PCI-E cable.

Do either of these happen to exist?

I think I'd actually prefer the 8-pin Y-cable if such a thing exists.

Not only am I running the GTX460s (1363-KRs) in SLI, I'm also running 4 HDDs, including a Raptor, 4 additional case fans and a CM V6 GT.

The PSU's doing fine, I'm simply looking for these cables to clean up the cabling. I'd rather have either an 8-pin Y then Molex Ys and PCI-E adapters..

That's what I was asking.

I was told my 510-watt no-name Chinese dual rail was "unsafe" and ran it for 3 years..

Not looking for another age-old wattage debate. Looking to see if the cable I'm looking for exists before I go and make it myself..

For a system using two GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 650 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 37 Amps or greater and that has at least four 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most important factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) will require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The CX Series Modular CX600M (SKU# 75-002018 / CP-9020060) power supply unit, with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 46 Amps and with two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is electrically sufficient to power your system configuration with two GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode.

Look for a couple of these cables:

Thanks, ko888. I'm actually looking for the exact opposite of that cable.

1 male 8-pin to 2 female 8-pin.

Any luck with that one? Did a quick ebay look, but my ebay-fu isn't strong...
