Can a CM Thunder 450w handle my system?

intel core i5 3570k
2x8gb 1600mhz ddr3
ati hd 7870(oc)
1TB WD HDD
256gb Crucial SSD
1 DVD RW ODD
MSI B75MA P45 MB
4 usb 2.0 + 2 usb 3.0
front 1 usb3.0 + 1 usb 2.0
3 led 120cm cooling fans

Coolermaster is not a very good brand of power supply! I would go with a Corsair TX series or Seasonic X series, Antec are good power supplies. A 500 - 600 Watt power supply would be better for your video card and processor, if you plan to overclock at all.

I wouldn't use the Coolermaster PSU. I would recommend Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, PCP&C, & XFX if I was considering a PSU for a build. I'd also consider at least a 500w version or better, since you have a 7870 GPU (requires 2 x PCI-e power connectors).
