Hello all,

I am looking to buy a graphics card for my pc. My current one is rubbish! First of all, will any graphics card work? Or does it need to be a particular configuration to suit my PC? What are the things I need to see if they are compatible with my PC when looking for a graphics card? Secondly, is there any difference between a graphics adapter and graphics card? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks a lot,
Steven

Post your motherboard, PSU, CPU, and price range and it will be much easier to help you out. It depends on what slots are available on your MOBO as well as how much wattage your power supply has. CPU can also factor in but it would have to be pretty old to significantly bottle neck a new GPU. Oh also certain GPU's may be too big to fit inside certain cases.
