GTX 670 4GB vs GTX 680 2GB

Hey everyone,

I am looking at upgrading to a new rig and I am going to have a 5760x1080 display. With that being the case I read some reviews about the GTX 670 4GB being worth it in SLI at those resolutions, but I have also heard that getting 2 GTX 680 2GB is better. I also was wondering about the differences in watercooling dual 670s vs dual 680s. I really like the way the EVGA 670 shrouding looks, but I also have the ability to watercool if it would provide a significant performance increase/noise reduction.

TLDR:

1. How do you guys feel about the GTX 670 4GB in SLI @ 5760x1080 over a pair of GTX 680 2GB?

2. How do you feel about watercooling either of these soulutions; is it worth it IYO?

Thanks for your help and taking a look! :D

I suppose that is true; I am going with a grey/black/white theme on my case and was drawn to the shrouding on the EVGA 670s and was debating either getting them for the aesthetics and performance or just WCing with 7970s.

also one more thing the HD 7970s has a lot more oc headroom then the GTX 600 series so you'll get more performance for less especially if you water cool them

Yeah I am actually a little concerned if my single HWLabs GTX 240 rad can handle the TDP of two 7970s. 210W each before OC! :o
