With a good CPU i think even HD6670 can run BF3@Ultra. And HD6670 costs like 70$.

FX-6100 is actually pretty bad gaming CPU. Not only that, it's more expensive than better ones. I wouldn't buy it if you didn't yet.

You'd want at least core i3. If you want to play Battlefield 3 on ultra, I'd advice to get i5-2500k or even i5-3570k.

Resolution doesn't affect CPU usage. Though, once you crank up settings, it goes up.hows this one then?

well,I dont trust any benchmarkers,I trust real world tests, done by people that actually own and use the hardware.Like yourself,if i wanted to know how the 2600k was,I would trust your answer more than any review site, only because you use it day to day.
i would still like to see a non-bias test where they build a mix of sealed systems using amd/nvidia/intel,and seeing how many people actually guess right on what there playing on.

I am building my PC from a website called cyberpowerpc.com sure you have heard of it. Since you guys did not recommend the FX-6100 i am trying to decide between the i5 3570k and i5 3570. i am not sure about the 3570k because i don't know how to overclock and i am afraid to have the cpu OC it and then break it. I will post my final pc specs (of the build) as soon as i get a response on the CPU and you guys can tell me what you think.
Thanks
Thanks
ppl have to search videos with FPS on the screen like this one, he has a better CPU/GPU and doesnt even get 45, but some how the fraps take like 10-15fps away from your regular result

here u can see a better example of what you will get
Edit: dont pay atention to Intel fanboys... i know the videos i have show are with intel CPU, i dont have time to find the ones with AMD CPU
u will be fine with any FX CPU trust me

No he won't. It will bottleneck harder than Intel Pentium.
Anyway.
i5-3570k is a great addition, because even if you don't overclock now, when comes time to upgrading the CPU you can choose: overclock your current CPU to get it last 1 more year, or buy a new one. I'm certain it's worth getting K series CPU
.

but he wont bottleneck a 7850 at all with the FX6100.
I was considering a build (I always run 2 gaming rigs)to an Intel, however I just didnt like what I was reading on the ivy bridge,if i did go intel,I would probably go with a 2500K.
Now with that being said,I dont believe the FX line up is as bad as people would like others to believe.
AMDman, what is you budget at cyberpower? and second, have you thought about building your own instead?

6 core FX CPU will pull this game just fine. BF 3 can use all those cores. My 1100T plays it with 60% load on all 6 cores at 60 FPS.
I think that video card might be a slight bottleneck and might keep u away from 60 FPS, but if u turn off anti aliasing, you should be in 50-55 FPS zone which is very playable. If you still think of getting those parts, video card might be one thing to shell out on. HD 7950 would make a worthy card for that game.
Good luck!
