Hello!

I am going to be purchasing the XFX 7970 (CORE EDITION) and was wondering if it would fit into the Antec Three Hundred Two case, does anyone know if it will?

Also...

Will the XFX 7970 (CORE EDITION) provide me with enough suffice cooling so that I will be able to hit over the 1Ghz mark OR will it be much better to spend a bit more and get the XFX 7970 DD BLACK EDITION?

Thanks.

Probably with a 1/2inch to spare. I'd get a better case. I chucked my 200 for a Storm Trooper.

If it fits I might just stick with it...

Antec Three Hundred Two is a solid case in my eyes...

Does anyone else know if it will fit?

The three hundred two fits cards up to 12.5", the card you mentioned is 10.8". There is plenty of space. Google is a good tool for finding this type of information.

Sorry about that,

Do you have any advice upon whether I should grab the XFX 7970 (CORE EDITION) or is it worth the extra money to grab a XFX 7970 DD BLACK EDITION?

If the core edition is the one I think it is, which is the reference design, I would not even consider buying it. If you're going to spend $400+ then you might as well spend $450 and get the best cooling solution and build quality possible. I would recommend the XFX DD Black or the Sapphire Vapor-X posted above by 'gamerkila57'. Both XFX and Sapphire make quality products.
