I have an Acer Aspire One AO-722 netbook. It comes with the Fusion C-60 APU and my drivers are outdated. I already e-mailed AMD support about updates on the C-60 APU and according to AMD support, I should go to the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers. Acer hasn't updated their drivers in a very long time. In fact, when I installed their latest drivers, upon reboot, it says my driver are either not-installed or not working properly. Their latest driver is 8.861, which was bundled with Catalyst 11.6. I suspect it's Windows update causing the problem. After peaking in the Device Manger, it turns out Windows is using the 8.93 driver, which came with Catalyst 12.1.
My problem (besides the software being out of sync) is that the 12.8 Catalyst suite (driver vers. 8.982) supports the Mobility Radeon HD 6200 series, which means my driver is out of date by quite a bit.
So I'm wondering about forced/manual update.
First, are all the AMD drivers the same? I'm wondering because AMD's site won't let me download any mobile driver without going through their horrid verification software.
How would I obtain the latest designed for the C-series APU? (assuming the drivers are different).
