If you have any form of PCI express X16, any PCI Express X16 card will work (backwards/forwards compatibility). That said, odds are, since you have a prebuilt, your PSU does not have the appropriate connectors or current to push a GTX 560 ti.

Well you do have one, but there is no way you are going to get a 550Ti in there, let alone make it run. Although there is a chance that you have a very good power supply according to this here page:

http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/sm/WF06a/12454-12454-64287-3328896-3328896-4024462.html?dnr=1

I can't find any information on the power supply though, so would you mind giving that information? This information will tell us the fastest card you will be able to put in there without exploding your computer.

From what I could tell looking at that product page for your computer, the highest tdp
graphics card was a hd4650 with a 48w tdp. hd7770 is 55w and hd6670 is 66w.

If you are looking for gtx550ti performance, the hd7770 is even better. it does have to be
low profile(half as wide as most cards),but might possibly allow for dual slot in your case.

Don't know how easy or hard it would be to find a decent replacement power supply for
relatively cheap that would fit and be fairly easy to swap in.

Most of the time with low profile computers like this, the power supplies usually do not exceed 300W, which would be perfect for either the 7750 or the 6670. Both of which are quick. Can you snap a picture of the rear of your computer by chance to show us what power supply you can use?

oops. I meant 7750, not 7770. And a 7750 is not better than gtx550ti. At least, not at
reference clocks. Of the 2 low profile 7750s I saw on Newegg(US), there was a passively
cooled one and one with 2 fans. In some games the 7750 is close to 5770/6770. Maybe
with a little overclocking(2 fans) it would match gtx550ti but only have a 6670's tdp.

After a quick search on Newegg, I'd say no(Same for HD7770, btw).

The gtx550ti has a 116w tdp, so it need a bigger and better heatsink/fan combo to get rid
of all the heat it produces at full bore. Most of the ones on Newegg are full height, dual
slot cards with blower style fans that push hot air out the back of the case. One Gigabyte card has 2 fans and no vents. There's also an asus card with a big cooler but no vents.

HD7770s(80w tdp) are mostly the same, with just a few that are dual fan and venting.
