Hi, so right now I have this build http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/p/lvqA
I was wondering which 670 I should get and weather the mobo will be compatible with the video card. Also, if the case will be good for cooling or not. Can someone tell me if this is a sold build or is there something I should do better.

Your case and GPU choices are excellent. However the cooler selection is not that good (horrendous actually), and you can't pair a 2500K with H61 as you forfeit access to the multiplier, making it useless.

For that kind of money I'd suggest this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($31.05 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($139.99 @ NCIX)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($38.49 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($79.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($369.99 @ Memory Express)
Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi Tower ATX Mid Tower Case ($68.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($79.99 @ NCIX)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($18.79 @ DirectCanada)
Total: $1047.27
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Better motherboard, better CPU, better cooler, same GPU, same case. A bit more than the original build but worth it.

Thanks for the help, its more than a grand, but I guess it's worth it in the end right? Anyways, will this be good for recording games like bf3 maxed out and a bit of video editing for youtube? thanks for the help :)

Yeah the motherboard and CPU will be much better than the original setup.

G-units build is excellent although if you really need to get down to 1000 even im sure that it can be done. And yes it will do everything you ask of it.

There's a few areas where you could shave money but for the OP's uses you need to be prepared to overclock.

Thanks guys :) You guys saved me alot of money, I was gonna buy the alienware x51 the upgrade the gpu. With this build, its 20 dollars cheaper, AND I will get about 3-4x the performance :D
One last thing. To overclock, is it difficult? or can a novice do it?

:O That's cheaper, and I'm guessing same performance? Thanks man, idk what I would do without people like you holding my hand through everything XD. Is this build as good as the 1k one the other person showed?

You wont notice anything until you try to overclock both of them to the max. And even then it will be pretty minimal.

I don't mind if the gpu he choose was faster, I just want good performance.
And I swear, this is the last thing I need to know, and I have asked this question over and over again. Will I be able to play bf3 maxed out at 70-80 fps? And what about skyrim WITH a bunch of texture and graphical mods?
All I need is the answear to that, and I will be ready to go :D :sol:

Yes and yes buddy guy, post pics when youve put that beauty together ;D

Also, someone gave me this build http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/p/lyQx.
Is this worth the extra 70 bucks? The person said that I would have problems playing skyrim ultra with mods. So he suggested this build. Is it worth the extra money?

No not at all. Skyrim is extremely easy to max out even with mods ( i run max settings @ 1080 with 50+ mods on my 7770). The 680 in general is waste of cash as it offers very little improvement in performance over the 670, whilst costing much more. If you really want to upgrade your card go with a 7970. However at 1080 it doesnt matter as the 670 will MAX EVERYTHING at that resolution. Easily.

That's what I though. How many fps do you get average?
Also, do you know any good yet cheap moniters? Perferibly matt finish?
